ABOUT US
AFTB – it’s not just another acronym!
But “what’s in it for me”, you might ask...The answer depends on you! Army Family Team Building is a series of classes, written and taught by Army spouses, for Army spouses. The course modules are divided into three levels, aimed at differing levels of experience with Army life.
Level one, more commonly known as “Army Wife 101” or “Spouse Basic Training” focuses on topics useful to spouses new to military life. Levels two and three contain personal and professional development courses useful for those serving in leadership positions, or who could serve in leadership situations. However, there is no pre-requisite for any course; students may begin the courses at any point, with any course.
Fort Rucker’s AFTB Team offers the courses in a “full-level” format, allowing students to finish all of the course modules and certify as an instructor within a year! Army Family Team Building classes are taught during the day and at night; childcare is available during daytime classes if using the CDC or FCC. All materials and instruction are free, but advance registration is required. Classes are held in the AFTB Training Center, bldg. 5700. For more information and to register, call 255-AFTB!
