Standing Operating Procedures

60 12' x 12' stalls for transient horses.

Resident mounts may be turned out in our 2 acre mare pasture or 4 acre gelding pasture three days each week. Other days are designated for babies (mares with foals at their side and horses less than 24 months) and seniors (horses older than 24 years). Pastures are open from dawn to dusk 10 months a year. A smaller, 1 acre turnout area is also available daily, with a limit of one hour per day and a maximum of 5 horses in the turnout at one time.

2 55' round pens are available for training.



A 80' x 240' arena with barrels and poles is available for speed events and training. This lighted arena has an enclosed announcer’s booth but no permanent seating for spectators. Adjacent to the arena is trail course used for shows.

 

2 lighted regulation dressage rings are available for training and competitions


72 12' x 12' stalls with paddocks and 6' x 12' tack rooms in duplex barns for boarding patrons.

10 16' x 16' and 12 12' x 12' stalls in long barns with detached, common turnout areas for boarding patrons.

A 48,000 square foot lighted show/jump arena is equipped with a sound system and can seat 120 spectators in covered bleachers and an additional 60 people in open bleachers. This arena has an enclosed, air-conditioned, announcer's booth.

The Fort Rucker Equestrian Center has a world-class eventing course with the only preliminary course in Alabama. In addition, there are 10,000 acres of riding trails. Click here to visit our "Trails" page for a map and current trail conditions.

The 600 square foot clubhouse houses the Chuckwagon concession stand and features public restrooms, information boards and an ice machine available to patrons 24-hours a day.
