Lake Tholocco
Fort Rucker and Lake Tholocco are proud to announce the paving of
Johnston Road and the Engineer Beach RV Park & Campground.
Due to the paving of Johnston Road and the Engineer Beach RV Park &
Campground, camping opportunities will be limited for April and May
2011. Paving in the Campground will occur now through 15 May; the
Campground will run at half capacity during this time. Expect heavy
equipment and partial lane closures on Johnston Road, below Singing
Pines, now thru late May. Delays possible during peak traffic time;
please allow extra travel time during this period.
Due to the paving project, the Engineer Beach boat ramp is closed until
paving is complete. Boaters can access the West & East Beach ramps until

Lake Tholocco is a 640-acre lake that offers numerous recreational activities. Boating, skiing and swimming are favorite sports at the lake. Facilities include four fishing piers, beaches, pavilions, and clean restrooms. Fort Rucker has several excellent lakes and ponds for fishing: Lake Tholocco, Beaver Lake, Buckhorn Lake, Ech Lake, and Beaver Pond. Come try your luck with hybrid bass, catfish, crappie or bream and see if you’ll catch The Big One.

Water trampoline and large adult and children's waterslides are available. Lifejackets are available for children that can not swim. There is a fee to swim, and lifejackets are available to rent.
