The Relocation Readiness Program (RRP) is designed to make your transition a smooth one. The Lending Hangar has roll-a-whttp://www.ftruckermwr.com/Subpage%20images/move.jpgay beds, car seats, TVs, microwaves and various kitchen items available for you to borrow. Relocation is your one stop location for information about the Wiregrass area, including maps and phone directories.

One of the most useful tools for the relocating Soldier or Family is Military Home Front.  Specific information is printed in a book form for any installation in the world. If you are arriving to Fort Rucker and considering living on the installation, contact Picerne Military Housing (PMH) at 866-662-9846 or go online: www.ruckerpicerne.com. When you are ready to leave Fort Rucker, just ask about the Military Installations Program. If you are going overseas, Relocation provides briefings on the following overseas assignments: Korea, Germany, Alaska and Hawaii. All Relocation Services are available to:
Active duty military Soldiers and their Families.
Reserve and National Guard members on active duty, or an active duty for training, and their Families.
Next of Kin of POW (Prisoner Of War) and MIA (Missing In Action) personnel of all Armed Services.
Retired military personnel and their Families.
Widows of military personnel who were active duty or retired at the time of death.
DA civilians and their Families, if civilian resources are not available.

Mandatory Newcomer’s Welcome
All active duty permanent party personnel newly assigned or attached to units, directorates and activities associated with Fort Rucker will attend Army Community Service’s Newcomers’ Welcome. This welcome is designed to assist military personnel, Family members, and DA civilian by providing information about the Fort Rucker community. Newly arrived Soldiers, DA civilians, and Family members are welcomed by the command group. They receive information from representatives on the installation and the surrounding communities. Newcomers’ Welcome is scheduled for every third Friday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at The Landing.  Childcare is provided by the Child Development Center with 24 hours advance reservations.  Children must be registered at the Child, Youth and School Services Parent Central Services.  Registration is free. Share-A-Move is a database of newly arrived Soldiers and Family members who have provided their names, phone numbers and/or emails. of newcomers willing to meet others and share their experiences obtained at different overseas military bases.

Lending Hangar
The Lending Hangar is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can borrow items such as: futons, roll-away beds, pots & pans, dishes, and more. Items are loaned for a limited period. Valid ID card holders and DA civilians are eligible. Soldiers in TDY status and civilians are assisted on a limited basis.

Military Home Front - Plan My Move
Military Home Front is a computerized database that contains Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine installations. It contains important information about relocating that every Soldier and spouse should know. This information can be printed as a booklet or copied on a CD-Rom and will be available after 1100 hours, the next business day. Hearts Apart Program
The Hearts Apart Program is a group sponsored by ACS designed to help Families cope with separation due to an unaccompanied tour, TDY, PCS or deployment. The group meets on a monthly basis to provide support to its members in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Participation in the group is strictly voluntary. Spouses of Deployed Service members meet the second Wednesday of the month at the Spiritual Life Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Spouses bring their lunch and share their experiences with one another. Soldiers remaining in on post housing are highly encouraged to attend the initial Hearts Apart brief with their spouse and assigned sponsor. Briefings are by appointment only, due to limited seating.

PCS Briefs

Germany Briefing
Briefings are held every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 1400 hours in Room 371G. Designed to answer questions and ease apprehensions about life for Soldier and Family in Germany. Briefings are by appointment due to limited seating.

Korea Briefing

Briefings are held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 1400 hours in Room 371G. Designed to answer questions and ease apprehensions about life for the Soldier and Family in Korea. Briefings are by appointment due to limited seating.

Alaska and Hawaii Briefings
Briefings are held on alternating Tuesdays in Room 371G. Topics include transportation, cost of living, climate, and recreation. Briefings are by appointment due to limited seating. Soldiers and Family members should call to confirm which brief will be offered and the time.

Immigration/Naturalization Service
The Relocation Readiness Program role in the citizenship application process is primarily administrative.
RRP will assist military spouses with information forms and reviewing their citizenship application and at as a liaison between the member and USCIS when required.
