Army Community Service (ACS) Survivor Outreach Services (SOS), networking with Casualty Affairs, Retirement Services and Veteran Affairs, provides support and assistance for Families of Fallen Soldiers, through support groups, financial counseling and referral services. The challenges and grief associated with losing Soldiers can continue longer than 180 days, so SOS is there as long as the Family desires to be supported by SOS.
Many times after you have lost a loved one there are unresolved issues or questions that may surface sometimes months or years after the loss. We understand new issues and questions may arise long after the Casualty Assistance Officer has concluded his or her duties. Survivor Outreach Services is here to help connect, coordinate, monitor, and support the needs of families of our fallen heroes by providing compassionate advocacy services using available Army and external resources.
